The only way anyone makes it in this business is by having someone who knows more than them educate them, because this business is very much about strategy.
You can’t do it alone (allow others to help you and teach you), but DON’T expect anything of anyone.
Your upline educates you, and that knowledge helps you advance – it is nearly impossible without being mentored, and then mentoring your downline to the same capacity you were.
Pay it forward.
If your upline is hands on with you the knowledge you will gain is so valuable.
This will help you to then be a good teacher to your downline builders and teach them the business and strategy.
I cannot tell you how many friends I know that got into an MLM company for the business but had no clue what they were doing and felt they had no one to teach them so they gave up…
This happens a lot – choose your upline/team wisely.
Or seek out a coach who knows this type of business if you feel like your upline has a teaching style that doesn’t gel with you or you need more training to thrive. Don’t try to do this alone.
Now, DON’T expect anything of anyone either.
Your upline may educate you, but don’t expect them to build your business for you.
Entitlement runs rampant in these types of businesses. It’s part of the nature of the beast.
YOU need to earn your keep.
Show your upline you are committed (with action: communication + sharing/bringing people on) and serious and they will take you under their wing (but even then, don’t expect anything from them.)
Every month know what YOU need to do as a 1-man-band to make your goal.
They will help you if they can AND if it is deserving.
You’ll also need builders in your downline, but don’t depend on their work for your gains.
My advice, seek these people out from the start. Get balsey and put it out there.
Be ready to educate them, but seek them out early.
Find self-motivated people who are driven.
Again, know your 1-man-band goal monthly.
This prevents you from missing a goal or desired rank hit.
You are accountable for your actions and in control of your own success.
